I think this blog will be kind of a therapeutic ritual for myself, a way to document my pregnancy you could say? Something to look back at in several years down the road, maybe some of you mothers out there could tell me what i'm in for, and of course a way to keep family & friends updated throughout the pregnancy and such. Most of all a way to keep my head on straight, after all I don't know what the hell i'm doing!
Maybe this blog will help other young, pregnant women as they trek into the journey of the unknown. That's kind of what it feels like right now, a new exciting adventure that I'm about to endure, blind as a bat. HOW ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO CLIMB A MOUNTAIN BLIND?? I'm nervous, anxious, excited, all of the above! So maybe i'll do a weekly update on how I feel, changes I notice, etc. with a weekly picture of my tummy to see how it grows over time. (I say that now, but we'll see when i'm nice and fat) Even if no one is reading this, it will def. be neat for me to go back and read these when I have our baby. Feel free to leave comments, questions, any tips if you have some, after all this is my first round ;]
Now for the good stuff..
So i'm..13 weeks (3 months & 1 week) so far.
I had my first picture ultrasound today, pretty awesome seeing the little squirt swimming around in there! He/she is precious :]
How do I feel you ask?
SOMEONE GIVE ME SOME SOUR CREAM & ONION CHIPS WITH A SIDE OF SUBWAY!
That's how I feel right now.
Uhm..heartburn like a mofo, but at least the daily trip to the porcelain goddess has subsided. Phew, that was getting old!
Besides that I can't really complain much, i've got a loving, understanding boyfriend & a healthy baby :] I'll put up the pictures I have so far even though they're already on facebook.
